The COVID-19 pandemic exposed a growing skepticism toward vaccines, extending beyond COVID-19 to routine immunizations like influenza, measles, tetanus, and polio. In response, the AAMC, supported by the CDC, collaborated with leading academic medical centers to develop successful models for boosting vaccine confidence through partnerships with public health departments, social services, and community leaders.
This collaboration demonstrated the power of storytelling and partnerships to combat vaccine hesitancy and improve community health outcomes nationwide.
